Gender and Disability Issues

This section contains an extensive range of information and resource materials on a wide range of issues facing women with disabilities including for example: advocacy; ageing; human rights; education; employment; eugenics; health; housing; telecommunications; leadership; legal issues; motherhood and parenting; sexuality; sterilisation; transport; and, violence. It also includes an Overview of the Status of Women With Disabilities in Australia.

WWDA Publications and Reports

This section provides an extensive amount of information covering: WWDA Submissions to Government & other consultations; systemic advocacy reports; conference papers; articles; Project reports; Annual Reports.

Connections and Networking

This section provides information about 'wwda-discuss' - an email list to facilitate discussion between members of Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA). Subscription instructions are included.

WWDA Newsletter

WWDA's quarterly Newsletter 'WWDA-NEWS' provides information on WWDA's current activities, as well as information from other sources which is relevant to women with disabilities. This section also provides archives of WWDA's bi-monthly Update Reports, produced between 2003-2008, along with archives of WWDA's original Newsletter which was published in hard copy between 1992 - 2000.

Stories and Poems

This section provides a collection of personal stories and poetry which has been contributed by members of WWDA. Information is provided on how members can contribute to building this section.

Government Policies

This section provides a brief description of, and links to, key Australian Government disability policy, programs and legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1992.

Service Directory

This collection of information has been produced by WWDA to help women with disabilities find information about services and organisations that are available to assist them - at national, State/Territory, regional and local levels.
