Exit International
Exit International is the pro euthanasia organisation of Dr Philip Nitschke. In 1996, Dr Nitschke became the first doctor in the world to give legal voluntary euthanasia under the Rights of the Terminally Ill Act. Active in all states of Australia and New Zealand, Exit International was previously known as Exit Australia and the Voluntary Euthanasia Research Foundation. Exit International's focus is upon providing our members with practical information and real end-of-life choices.

South Australian Voluntary Euthanasia Society (SAVES)
SAVES' primary objective is a change in the law so that, in defined circumstances and with appropriate safeguards, voluntary euthanasia becomes a legitimate part of medical practice. Since this will take some time to achieve in full SAVES has a number of subsidiary objectives. These include raising community awareness; correcting misunderstanding and misinformation; engaging in discussion with the health care and legal professions; informing members of their rights regarding end of life health care under current legislation; and lobbying politicians and other persons of influence.

Voluntary Euthanasia Society of New South Wales
The aim of the Voluntary Euthanasia Society of New South Wales is to promote legislation which, with the proper safeguards, entitles any person suffering severe pain or distress, with no reasonable prospect of recovery, to a painless, medically assisted and dignified death in accordance with his or her expressed direction.

Voluntary Euthanasia Society - Tasmania
The aim of the Voluntary Euthanasia Society of Tasmania is to achieve legislation giving effect to freedom of choice and individual human rights, so that any person suffering, through illness or other medical condition, severe pain or distress for which no remedy is available that is acceptable to the person, should be entitled by law to a painless and dignified death in accordance with that person's expressed direction.

Voluntary Euthanasia Society of Queensland
The objective of the Voluntary Euthanasia Society of Queensland is to achieve legislation giving effect to the widely held public opinion that any person suffering through illness or disability, severe pain or distress for which no remedy is available, should be entitled, by law, to a painless and dignified death, in accordance with that person's expressed directions.

Dying With Dignity Victoria (DWDV)
Dying With Dignity Victoria (formerly the Voluntary Euthanasia Society of Victoria Inc) is an education, 'self-help' and law reform organisation pursuing public policies and laws in the state of Victoria that enhance self-determination and dignity at the end of life.

West Australia Voluntary Euthanasia Society
WAVES is a registered not-for-profit organisation, founded in 1980 by members of the community who believed that every person should, with appropriate safeguards, have a legal right to determine the time and manner of his or her death and that a medical practitioner should be able to carry out this request. The mission of the Society is to bring about such changes to Western Australian Statute Law and to medical ethics as will allow a person, suffering severe pain or distress with no reasonable prospect of recovery, to receive, with the proper safeguards, a painless medically assisted and dignified death in accordance with his or her expressed wishes.
