The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian government and some non-government bodies. Commonwealth Ombudsman
The office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman considers and investigates complaints from people who believe they have been treated unfairly or unreasonably by a Commonwealth Government department or agency, including the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Defence Force. The Commonwealth Ombudsman is also the ACT Ombudsman. Our aim is to resolve complaints impartially, informally and quickly. If we cannot assist with a particular complaint, we will explain why, and suggest other avenues for resolving the matter.

National Childrens & Youth Law Centre
The National Children's and Youth Law Centre is Australia's only national community legal centre dedicated to addressing human right issues for children and young people through legal change. The work of the National Children's and Youth Law Centre can be divided into three core areas: Advocacy (including Campaign and law reform strategies and Casework); Education; and Information. The NCYLC's website, Lawstuff, provides legal information to all young Australians. The establishment of LawMail in 1998 has allowed many young people to seek legal advice, referral and information by email.

The NWJC is a coalition of organisations and individuals which aims to promote women's equality before the law in Australia. KALS covers the North, Central West region of NSW. It has three general legal practice offices, located in Moree, Armidale and Tamworth. The telephone service provides basic legal information and pre-recorded information on common legal problems. Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission

Northern Community Legal Service
Northern Community Legal Service offers free legal information and a referral service to people living in the northern Adelaide metropolitan area. Ongoing legal assistance is only provided to those people who are on low incomes and who are not eligible for legal aid. The centre has a specialist Child Support Service, which is available to parents receiving, or those eligible to receive child support, as well as parents who are paying child support. The centre also incorporates the Employment Advisory Program, a service that gives advice to employees in disadvantaged bargaining positions. A free financial counselling service is also available to members of the northern community. Outreaches are conducted at Nuriootpa, Murray Bridge, Gawler and Kadina.

Our legal services are available to young people who: are under 25 years of age and need legal information or advice; and/or who need representation in the Children's Court.
