National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC)
The NCAC is a national organisation and its members are selected from a range of States and Territories and sectors within the child care profession and related fields. The Council is supported by staff located in Sydney as well as over 300 peer Validators and 40 Moderators located throughout Australia. NCAC administers Family Day Care Quality Assurance for family day care schemes, Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance for outside school hours care services, and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System for long day care centres, all of which assist services to implement strategies to improve the quality of care that they provide for children. The Bonnie Babes Foundation is an international organisation which is the only one of its type in Australia and America. Family Services Australia is the largest national Industry Representative Body and member association of providers of family relationships and other family support services. SIDS and Kids
SIDS and Kids raises money to fund research in to sudden and unexpected stillbirth, neonatal death and SIDS and is committed to reducing perinatal and infant mortality in Australia. The organisation also provides local support to bereaved families and provides community education to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sudden and unexpected deaths in infancy and early childhood from 20 weeks gestation.
